INCLEMENT WEATHER: Tune your television to WFMZ – Channel 69. All Church Activities Will Be Cancelled if the Quakertown School District closes, so on a school day look for Quakertown School District closings. On the weekend, look for First Church of the Brethren Quakertown (under the F’s). You can also check the WFMZ website storm center and sign up for their text alert to be sent directly to your phone (we are listed under the F’s here too).
HEAVEN’S BOUNTY FOOD PANTRY: Delays are based on the Quakertown Community School District during the School Year: when Quakertown Schools are closed, so is Heaven’s Bounty Food Pantry. In the event of a delayed opening for the school district, Heaven’s Bounty will experience the same delayed opening (for example, if the Quakertown School District is having a 2-hour delay, the pantry will also have a 2-hour delay and will begin serving patrons at 10:00 am). However, the safety of our volunteers and clients is our first concern and sometimes the parking lot and walkways have not been cleared, in this case the pantry will remain closed or delay opening further, check our home page for this notice or call the Pantry (215-536-1317) to make sure.
